We can only advocate the timely treatment of patients with urothelial bladder

cancer (UBC). However, the relationship between delay and survival in UBC is

complex. Female patients present later than males, and our data suggest that this is

The Cancer Genome Atlas Project on Muscle-invasive Bladder Cancer

S.P. Lerner, J. Weinstein, D. Kwiatkowski, J. Kim, G. Robertson, K.A. Hoadley, R. Akbani,

C. Creighton, on behalf of the TCGA Muscle Invasive Bladder Cancer Analysis Working Group

The Cancer Genome Atlas project in bladder cancer reported the integrated

genomic analysis of the first 131 patients in 2014. This muscle-invasive cohort was

found to have one of the highest somatic mutation rates. The analysis working

group will reconvene in early 2015 to begin the final analysis.
