Global and Regional Patterns of Tobacco Smoking and Tobacco Control PoliciesF. Islami, M. Stoklosa, J. Drope, A. Jemal
Smoking prevalence has been decreasing globally, but smoking rates are still high in
many countries, particularly in Asia, Southern Europe, and Eastern Europe. Health
care providers should advise smoking patients about quitting smoking. More
research on e-cigarettes as a smoking cessation tool and on their long-term health
effects is required.

Smoking and Bladder Cancer: A Systematic Review of Risk and OutcomesM. Rink, J.J. Crivelli, S.F. Shariat, F.K. Chun, E.M. Messing, M.S. Soloway
Cigarette smoking is a powerful established risk factor for the development of
urothelial carcinoma of the bladder (UCB), increasing the risk two- to four-fold for
current smokers and up to three-fold for former smokers. There is also a growing
body of evidence that smoking negatively affects outcomes for UCB patients at
different treatment points, although the evidence is not uniform. Long-term smoking
cessation seems to mitigate the detrimental effects of smoking in nonmuscle-
invasive and muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

Smoking and Prostate Cancer: A Systematic ReviewC. De Nunzio, G.L. Andriole, I.M. Thompson Jr, S.J. Freedland
Smoking is associated with worse prostate cancer (PCa) outcome and higher PCa
mortality. Smoking cessation should be encouraged for PCa patients.

The Link Between Cigarette Smoking and Erectile Dysfunction: A Systematic ReviewP. Verze, M. Margreiter, K. Esposito, P. Montorsi, J. Mulhall
We reviewed and summarized the scientific evidence supporting the link between
smoking and erectile dysfunction. We found that strong correlations between these
two conditions exist. Passive secondhand smoking can cause erectile impairment,
and smoking cessation has a beneficial effect for the restoration of erectile function.
