should

be

given

to

preventing

an

increase

in

smoking

prevalence among women

in LMICs. Although new nicotine

delivery

systems,

such

as

e-cigarettes,

may

have

the

potential

to

help

reduce

tobacco-related

harm

by

helping

smokers

to quit, measures need

to be

in place

to make

sure

that

these

systems

do

not

lead

to

the maintenance

of,

or

a

new

surge

in,

tobacco

use.

Support

and

advice

about

quitting

smoking

should

be

a

part of all health care practices,

including urologic practices,

because

not

only

does

smoking

cause

diseases

but

it

also

can worsen

the

prognoses

of

other

diseases

by

increasing

comorbidities,

including

respiratory

and

cardiovascular

problems.
